Apukka Resort provides accommodation in private rooms and special aurora cabins, as well as original aurora activities just north of the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Lapland – Finland.

Apukka Resort has unique buildings made of ice logs, made with original technique developed by Apukka Resort crew. These buildings are found nowhere else in the world.

Apukka Resort is the best northern lights spot in Rovaniemi:

- far from the city lights, no light pollution
- no street lights
- excellent point of view towards every direction with open lake and fields

If the conditions allow and it is possible to see the auroras, you will certainly see them at Apukka Resort. To increase your chances you need to be ready. At Apukka Resort, you are staying at the perfect spot and will be alerted when the northern lights appear. However, you will have the best chances by taking part in our aurora activities.

Apukka Resort is located 16 km north from Rovaniemi City Centre via the road E75 and 9 km north from Rovaniemi Airport and the Santa Claus village.

We are easy to reach, you can stay around pure nature and the best northern lights spots, experience amazing activities and get to meet Santa as well as enjoy everything the city of Rovaniemi has to offer – just a short drive away.

Just 100 m from Apukka Resort is the lake Olkkajärvi. The resort is surrounded by forest, rivers, lakes and hills, that provide us with amazing opportunities for activities. Exploring the nature yourself is safe and there are lots of marked trails at the Arctic Circle Hiking Area.
